The Process
Hey guys, My name is Mark and I am creating Success from Sawdust in hopes that it will allow me to create a successful woodworking brand, and over time develop into other income streams and businesses.
Here is the plan:
Create custom woodworking projects that I am able to sell.
During each build, document the process (videos will be posted on Youtube and Facebook)
In each of the videos I will include affiliate links of the tools, material, and other products I use.
I plan to have an established channel and site with affiliate links within the next 6 to 12 months that will be providing a somewhat passive income. With the sales from the actual projects I build, advertisements on the Youtube channel, and links on all of my channels and pages, I hope to make a decent amount of money to allow me to start dedicating more time to something I like to do. At first I will be spending around 1 hour every weekday morning (4am to 5am) and 4 hours on each Saturday and Sunday (4am to 8am) giving me a total of 13 hours of building time. I will create posts and edit videos etc. at night and during lunch breaks. Then over time I should be able to spend more time altogether to work on Success from Sawdust full time.
I hear over and over again that woodworkers can't go full time, that you can live a comfortable lifestyle in woodworking, etc. I want to try to break that idea of thinking. I want to try to build a brand and a business to set a strong foundation based around something that I enjoy doing, and let that grow into other endeavors that will ultimately leave me very successful. I know that it won't be easy and there will be times I may doubt the process but I am going to try as hard as I can.
